Mashrafe Bin Mortaza, a Bangladeshi international cricketer and politician who is the current Captain of the One Day Internationals for the Bangladesh National Cricket Team and Member of the Parliament from Narail-2. He has completed his education from Jahangirnagar University. He is married to Sumona Haque and is blessed with a son and a daughter. Mr. Mashrafe started his cricket career on 8th November 2001 and is one of the most successful pace bowler to have emerged from Bangladesh. He is considered as one of the most successful ODI Captain of the Bangladesh Cricket Team as well. Despite of having multiple injuries and surgeries, he has never allowed these injuries to become a hurdle in his performance as a cricketer.
On 4 April 2017, he announced his retirement from Twenty20 internationals after the tour of Sri Lanka. He played his last T20I on 6 April 2017 against Sri Lanka at the R. Premadasa Stadium. In 2019 World Cup, he has shown his excellent leadership skills in leading the Bangla Tigers. He is known for leading his team under numerous pressure with a cool head and sound mind. Mr. Mashrafe collected a parliamentary candidature form for 2018 Bangladeshi general election on 11 November 2018 under Awami League’s banner. He contested in the election from Narail-2 constituency and has been elected Member of the Parliament. Mr. Mashrafe Bin Mortaza is an idol in the field of cricket for millions of people around the world.
